BIMstream partnered with Wilson Butler Architects to scan, map, fly, and model the historic Wang Theater in Boston, supporting renovations for the Roots American Folk Museum. Using a combination of Leica terrestrial scanners and GeoSLAM mobile LiDAR, the team captured detailed interior and exterior conditions of the 3,600-seat theater, including drone flights conducted inside the venue for comprehensive coverage.
The resulting high-fidelity model was delivered to support architectural renovation planning and was also provided to Epic Games for a webinar showcasing rendered imagery produced in Unreal Engine 5 for Architecture, highlighting the model's versatility for both practical design applications and cutting-edge virtual visualization.
