BIMstream partnered with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) and Massport to scan, map, and model three vent buildings in Boston's Financial District in support of exterior façade renovations. Using a Leica RTC360, we captured high-definition colorized exterior scans while also deploying drone photogrammetry and 360° imaging to document both interior and exterior conditions, including tight interior spaces accessed safely using a custom-designed and 3D-printed protective drone cage.
To further support SGH's renovation and design coordination efforts, BIMstream delivered immersive, high-resolution videography formatted for VR headset review and remote collaboration via Kuula. The combination of precise LiDAR data, aerial mapping, and immersive visualization gave the project team a powerful toolkit for assessment, design, and stakeholder communication.
